Why I Love Teaching Balloon Training at Juicy Events

There is something really special about watching someone walk into a balloon training course feeling nervous or unsure of themselves and leave two days later looking at a beautiful balloon display and saying, “I actually made that!”

It’s one of the reasons I absolutely love teaching.

I’ve been working in events and creating balloon displays through Juicy Events for years, and during that time I’ve learned so much — sometimes through training, sometimes through experience and, if I’m being completely honest, sometimes through making mistakes!

Being able to take everything I’ve learned and pass that knowledge on to other people is now one of my favourite parts of Juicy Events.

More Than Just Learning How to Make a Balloon Garland

When someone joins my two-day balloon training course in Dublin, of course I want them to learn the practical skills.

We cover balloon garlands, organic balloon styling, different balloon sizes, working with sailboards and backdrops, attaching displays correctly, professional finishing techniques, suppliers, pricing and lots of the little tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way.

But for me, the training is about more than simply learning how to make a balloon garland.

I want people to leave feeling confident.

I want you to understand why you’re doing something rather than simply copying what I’m doing.

And I want the atmosphere to be relaxed enough that you feel comfortable asking questions, trying things yourself and even getting things wrong — because that’s how we learn.

You Don’t Need Any Previous Balloon Experience

One of the things I love most about teaching is the mix of people who come through the door.

Some students have already experimented with balloon decorating or event styling, while others are complete beginners who have never created a professional balloon display before.

Both are absolutely welcome.

The course is very hands-on, and I deliberately keep the groups small so I can spend time with everyone individually.

Rather than me simply creating a display while everyone watches, you get involved and create the displays yourselves.

Seeing that confidence develop over the two days is probably my favourite part.

What My Students Say About Balloon Training With Juicy Events

I can tell you how much I love teaching all day long, but I think the people who have actually completed the course say it better than I ever could.

I’m incredibly grateful for the gorgeous five-star Google reviews my students have left after completing their balloon training.

The Confidence Is What Makes Me Proud

Beautiful balloon displays are obviously a huge part of what we do.

But when I read words like confidence, motivated, comfortable, patient, detailed and inspired in my students’ reviews, that’s the part that makes me really proud.

Because you can learn a technique from a video.

What I want to provide through my balloon training in Dublin is the opportunity to practise those techniques in person, ask questions as you go, understand what you’re doing and have someone there to guide you.

There is nothing better than standing back at the end of the course and seeing everyone proud of what they’ve created.

Would You Love to Learn How to Create Beautiful Balloon Displays?

If you’ve found yourself looking at beautiful balloon garlands, arches and event displays and thinking:

“I’d love to know how to do that…”

I’d love to teach you.

You don’t need previous experience and you don’t need to have everything figured out before you arrive.

Come ready to learn, get creative and spend two days completely immersed in balloons.
