Seven Years of Juicy Events – My Life Working in the Events Industry

When I started Juicy Events seven years ago, I don’t think I could have imagined all of the different places the events industry would take me.

I’ve worked across so many different types of events in Dublin and around Ireland — from private celebrations and corporate events to outdoor events, balloon installations, family days and music events.

And I still genuinely love it.

I’m definitely a hands-on person. I love arriving at an empty venue or space and watching it completely transform. I love the planning, the setup, the creativity and even the madness that sometimes comes with event day!

No two events are ever exactly the same.

EVENTS, MUSIC AND PEOPLE

Long before Juicy Events, I’ve always loved music, dancing and being around people.

That side of me has never gone away.

Today, alongside running Juicy Events, I’m also involved in Back 2 Mine, our over-30s music events in Dublin.

It’s a completely different side of the events industry to balloon styling, but strangely, they work perfectly together for me.

One day I can be in my studio preparing balloons and props for an event, and another day I can be standing in a packed venue listening to music and watching hundreds of people dancing and enjoying something we’ve helped create.

Both give me the same feeling — I love creating experiences that make people happy.

BUILDING A BUSINESS AROUND FAMILY LIFE

I’ve also built Juicy Events while raising my son.

Running your own business alongside family life isn’t always perfectly organised or glamorous. There have been very early mornings, late nights, vans full of balloons, last-minute changes and plenty of learning along the way.

But I’m proud that seven years later, Juicy Events is still here, still evolving and still allowing me to work creatively in an industry I genuinely love.

I’ve learned an enormous amount about events, customers, creativity and myself during those seven years.

And I’m still learning.

STILL LOVING WHAT I DO

Whether I’m creating a beautiful balloon installation, teaching a group in the Juicy Events studio, working on an outdoor event or standing in the middle of a packed music event, I know I’m in the right industry.

I love creativity.

I love music.

I love dancing.

I love people.

And most of all, I love taking an idea and watching it turn into an experience that people remember.

Seven years into Juicy Events, I’m excited to see what comes next.
